SOMEWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE LITTLE GIRLS ARE WORSHIPED LIKE GODDESSES

Somewhere in south Asia, Some people still believe in deities like goddesses. But in this topic, it is just not any kind of goddess, it has to be a living, breathing little girl. The goddess is called Kumari.

This little girl is worshiped and you would worship any god or goddess. People from different parts of this country would come to pay a visit to the girl-goddess and trust me, the don’t visit empty handed, people would make appearance with lots and lots of gift, so as to obtain favor and prayers.

It is believed that the Kumari is a reincarnation of a Hindu goddess called Durga.

A Kumari are not seen as mortals, they are not allowed to speak to anyone except their families, their feet is never to touch the ground as they’re being carried at all time. They’re allowed to go out only 13 times in a year because they don’t leave the temple (lol, the gods Don’t take breaks) And they can only be seen wearing red color of cloth.

Nepal is the home of the Kumari believe. They’re still involved in this medeival practice probably because they are the oldest country in the south Asia and were never colonized by any country. In Nepal, parents would audition their young daughters where the chief priest would choose.

Picking a  Kumari is difficult because it has to do with Physical perfection, flawless skin black hair and eyes, high forehead, and a scary test to determine if she scare easily.

The Kumari audition is for young girls as young as the age of Three (3). It is believed the Kumari stops being mortal when she starts seeing her puberty (Menstruation) and she leaves the temple, back to her completely normal live.
