He bases the new calendar on a solar year, putting the entire republic on a universal timetable, one that is still used today.

On the 14th of March, 44BC Julius Cesar is stabbed 23 times by a faction of Senators led by Brutus.After Cesar’s death nothing could be the same. Brutus and the Senate tries to control the chaos that sprung up as a result of Cesar’s death, but the failed. He was popular amongst the citizens so they were pained about his murder.With the way Cesar ruler, it wasn’t possible for the Senate to still be making decisions.Just 20 years after Cesar’s death, Rome became an empire, with over 60 million people living within it’s borders that is 20% of the world’s population. -
