RISE OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE (Part 4)

 



Pompey goes to Alexdendra to meet their King Ptolemy for his allegiance against Cesar.

Cesar too after a while makes it to Alexandra in pursuit of Pompey. But he’s served a platter with Pompey’s head in it.   
King Ptolemy asks for Cesar’s help on his own Civil war, since he had helped him eliminate his threat.
King Ptolemy was fighting a civil war with his elder sister and wife Cleopatra who was a co-ruler of the Empire before they both broke out. 
Cesar needed more time to think on the offer. But his judgement was impaled by Cleopatra’s extraordinary appearance to him. Cesar sided Cleopatra and helped her against her brother Ptolemy in their Civil war. 
Cleopatra won the war and was made the sole ruler her dynasty. Soon her and Cesar gets involved in a Romantic Relationship and Cesar decides to stay in Eygpt for a while leaving Rome in the hands on Mark Anthony.  


BACK IN ROME

Mark Anthony who has no administration skills lead Rome into Ruin.
He made the economy fall to rubbles. With no experience of leadership and guidance, Mark Anthony makes mistakes in ruling and this resulted to the drastic fall of Rome.
There was starvation in the capital and hoodlums and bandits took to the streets.

Cesar gets a message on how Anthony  had mishandled the capital.
He feeds the Roman population that were at the verge of dying. He also restarted the gladiator games that have not been had for several years.
Cesar wanted to be seen as a legitimate ruler he didn’t want to be seen as a Military tyrant.
 Cesar places himself above the Senate, he still needs them to carry out some orders. The much younger ones in the Senate like Brutus aided Cesar in some Policy he made. He makes Brutus a Governor and someone to oversee that his new Policies are administrated.
