These can be classified into the following:

MYDRIATIC MEDICATIONS

1. Trophen

2. Tropicamide

3. Phenylephrine

Indications:

Pupillary dilatation before cataract surgery

Can be used intracamerally when there is poor dilatation.

ANAESTHETIC MEDICATIONS

1. Proparacaine

2. Amethocaine

USES:

To numb the eye 

To reduce pain during surgery


ANTIBIOTIC MEDICATIONS

1. Moxifloxacin

2. 5% povidone iodine

3. Chloramphenicol 

4. Ofloxacin 

USES

To prevent infection 

ANTI-GLAUCOMA

1. Timoeye: to reduce intraocular pressure

2. Pilocarpine: to constrict the pupil during surgery 

OTHERS

1. Diclofenac eye drop 

2. Sodium chloride onitment
