THE RISE OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE (Part3)

 

With so much battle strategy time, man power, and intervention of Mark Anthony’s troops and mastery on the battlefield, Julius Cesar conquers Gual.
So excited on his victory Julius takes messages about his victory back home to Rome accompanied with spoils from the war.
News on Julius Cesar’s triumph got to Pompey’s ears who was the Consul at that time. He did not take the news well, he had regretted why he drove him away initially. He was jealous and angry because Cesar had done something no Roman has ever done..
Pompey immediately ask that Cesar be striped of all title and return home to face trials for treason because he had made an unsantioned raid on another country. 

THE SOUND OF A CIVIL WAR

Julius Cesar was angry, after what he had done in the name of Rome, the treat him like a fugitive. Cesar is very angry at this point, he takes his legion together with Mark Anthony’s troops and the March to Rome to overthrown Pompey because he knows at this point the people of Rome see him as a Hero and the would love to see him be Consul again.
Pompey hears about the forthcoming army matching to overthrown his government, he knows he’s not prepared enough. Pompey with his senators flee Rome to Greece to raise a proper army to fight back  leaving Rome ungoverned. 
Cesar discovers that  Pompey’ has left he didn’t go to claim the ungoverned place rather he pursues Pompey to Greece.
